Former Rams DB finds a new team, signs with Carolina Panthers

The Panthers will now have a new DB stalking the Bank of America Stadium with the signature of former Rams player Troy Hill.

The former Oregan star went undrafted but turned out for four NFL teams, including two stints at the Rams.

Hill was signed by the Bengals, before the 32-year-old was signed for a season by the Patriots. He would move to the Rams and enjoy five seasons with the LA team, before a trip to Cleveland for the 2021 campaign with the Browns.

He resigned with the Rams, before announcing the switch to North Carolina early this week.

Hill will not be completely out of sync with the defensive systems of the Panthers with the Carolina defensive co-ordinator Ejiro Evero (who was at the Rams with Hill) on the staff.

Last season the DB managed 67 total tackles and an interception.

The experienced Hill has played 97 NFL games, with 55 starts. With eight career interceptions and 334 total tackles.

He also boasts 34 pass deflections and has been a solid player at franchise level.

The Panthers will look to his experience for a playoff tilt.
