Mark Jackson, who is the former ESPN NBA analyst wishes all the very best to Doc Rivers, and stated he has no ill feelings related to his layoff.
Jackson said, “I wish Doc nothing but the best, he’s a Hall of Fame coach. A tremendous guy. And he’ll be great.”
Jackson was part of the top NBA broadcasting team with play-by-play announcer Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy, his fellow analyst.
Jackson further indicated that he is looking forward to what is in store for him. He is positive that everything will turn around for the best.
He said, “It’s gonna work out,”
“Figuring it out now. The next move will be my best move. I’m excited about what God has for me. We’ll see how it plays out. I’m just excited about whatever it is.”
Jackson along with his broadcast partner Gundy among other big personalities were let go by ESPN recently.
Breen, Jackson, and Gundy formed an iconic NBA broadcast team. They were together for more than a decade.
Jackson played in the NBA from 1987-2004.
His last team was Houston Rockets and then he started his career in ESPN as a broadcast commentator.
He was also the coach of the Golden State Warriors from 2011 to 2014.
In 1992, Jackson and Rivers were traded for teams. Jackson went to the LA Clippers and Rivers joined the New York Knicks. They both linked once again when they were head coaches.
