Shaquille O’Neal responds after NBA legend, 50 Cent and Tyler Perry fail with $2billion bid for BET

One of the greatest players in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal has made millions off of his prolific basketball career.

However, his on court earnings are dismal compared to his earnings as a businessman.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has a net worth of more than $400 million, with his presence spread across multiple business ventures.

Some of them include sports endorsements, food chains, and owning teams.

However, Shaq has recently been in the news after, Shaq, 50 Cent, and Tyler Perry failed to crack a deal with Black Entertainment Television, which is also known as BET.

The American basic cable channel has risen across the country and is seen as a popular viewing option among most Africa-American families.

USA TODAY also reported, “Paramount notified bidders late Wednesday night about its decision to conclude the BET Media Group sale process, said a person familiar with the decision who was not authorized to speak publicly,”

“The person said the company determined maintaining a heavy stake in BET creates more value for Paramount than any of the proposals after consulting with a couple of highly-experienced financial advisors.”

Shaq and the group were turned down by the media group as the group set the price at $3 billion but Shaq and his group wanted to close the deal at $2 billion.

In response to the failed network deal news, 50 Cent said, “We will get them next time, @shaq that sh*t wasn’t worth 3,000,000,000,”

Shaq also responded taking a screenshot of 50 Cent’s comment and said, “@50cent we’ll get em next time.”

With the immense popularity the three celebrities have amongst them, if the deal would have gone through, it surely would have been a blockbuster, but just not this time around.
