New York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader, was sure that Nick Pivetta’s 0-2 fastball caught the zone.
However, Junior Valentine, the home plate umpire, caught the movement differently.
Bader who was very sure had already started walking back to the dugout when the umpire called the pitch a ball.
This call was so bad even Harrison Bader thought he struck out and starting walking back to the dugout 😂 pic.twitter.com/NRguGXCw9J

Well, when Bader saw no reaction for the umpire, the Yankees outfielder turned around and reentered the batter’s box after realising it had been deemed a ball.
The call was made more intricate by Reese McGuire, the catcher of the Boston Red Sox.
He was high and had to reach down to catch the ball, lacking a proper frame for the accurate call to be made out, but the the seasoned umpire should have been able to make the right call.
The missed call in the game did not matter much as Bader hit out swinging a few pitches later.
Fans found the response to be hilarious, though Bader was genuinely shocked by the call.
