“Why limit it to one?” Aaron Rodgers planning on long stay with Jets, before passing torch to Zach Wilson

New York Jets fans are in for a long-term treat according to superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

According to reports the former Superbowl champion and 4-x NFL MVP, Rodgers believes he can still play for a few good years before passing the baton to Zach Wilson, hopefully for a 15 year+ career at the Jets.

In a clip which garnered almost 1.5 million views in one day Rodgers said, "Why limit it to one [his Jets future], I would like to play a few good years here and then hand it to Zack [Wilson] and let him go on an 18–20-year run."

The 30-second clip shows the 39-year-old former California Golden Bears star desires to play until he is 42 at least.

Whether Wilson will wait is another story. Few would bet on Rodgers’ failing to meet his own lofty expectations and the Jets faithful could be in for a generation of success.

The Jets play the Bills in week 1 before a tough away assignment to a rowdy Dallas Cowboys outfit in week 2.

The Jets went 7-10 last season despite a strong 7-2 start. They imploded in December and January losing six on the trot and finishing 4th in the AFC East.
