By securing their 29th victory on Tuesday, the Aces have equaled the Phoenix Mercury’s record for the highest number of wins in a single season.
Wilson expressing herself said, “It feels good, it does feel good,”
“But I didn’t do this alone. My teammates get all the glory because without them I don’t even get the basketball. I’m not just saying that because it’s politically correct, no, our locker room is tight. I’m nothing without them. I greatly appreciate coming to work with these ladies. They make it fun.”
Wilson only attempted one 3-point shot in the game, finishing with a 16-of-23 shooting percentage.
She also made an almost flawless 20 of 21 free throws from the line.
Wilson got to her 50th point with just under a minute remaining in the game.
She made three more during the remainder of the game to finish the evening with 53 points.
With this, Wilson has now set a new career-high record and in the process she also became the only second player to complete 20 free throws in a single game.
The first player to do so was Cynthia Cooper in 1998.
However, while Wilson was on fire, she was wearing James’ latest signature shoes, the Nike LeBron 20.
Meanwhile, LeBron James had some positive words for the star forward as well.
He expressed his support and said, “Must be the (shoes)!!! Nah, it’s definitely her game the whole way!! They do look good on her though! GO THE HELL OFF THEN SIS!!!!!,”

Becky Hammon, the Aces head coach while talking to Andy Yamashita of the Las Vegas Review Journals said, “I don’t know what kind of a creature she is, but she runs like a deer, jumps like a cat and catches like if she were Spiderman,”
“I don’t know exactly what that is, but she is just special.”
