Kevin Hart, a comedian, actor, writer, and producer, turned 44 on the 6th of July.
Superstar actor-comedian Kevin Hart said he tore his lower abdomen while racing former NFL running back Stevan Ridley, who helped the New England Patriots win a Super Bowl title.
He recently posted a hilarious video on Instagram, informing his fans and followers of the reason behind ending up in a wheelchair while doing some ‘”young man stuff.”
He said, “I am in a wheelchair. Why? Because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff; tried to go out there and do some young man stuff, and I was told to sit my a** down.”
In the video, he shares how age 40 is no joke, and he was humbled by it.
Kevin Hart thought he could beat former #Patriots RB Stevan Ridley in a 40-yard dash.
He couldn’t.
Not only did he lose the race, but Hart also suffered a torn lower abdomen, which has now left him in a wheelchair. 😬

Ridley, 34, had an illustrious career spanning eight seasons. He was a third-round draft pick of the Patriots in 2011, and the Louisiana State University product, and played the first four seasons for the Patriots.
Ridley helped the Patriots get out to a 4-2 start during the 2014 season but tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in Week 6.
He ran for 3,102 yards and 24 touchdowns in 73 career regular-season games.
“I saw Tom Brady do it at your age, so I figured you had the juice too big bro!” Ridley wrote in an Instagram story. “My bad Kevin Hart! Heal up and keep making us all laugh!”
Hart and Ridley decided to settle the debate by running a 40-yard dash. Unfortunately, the race did not go well for the 44-year-old entertainer.
“Tore my lower abdomen, and my abductors are torn. I don’t even know what that is, but I tore them,” Hart said in the Instagram video. “I can’t walk.”
“Ladies and gentlemen the age 40 is real, to all my men and women out there that are 40 years old and above, it’s not a game, respect that age.”
“Respect that age,” he further added, “Or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it.”
Hart sent a piece of advice to everyone around his age and asked them not to do something like what he did to prove something or win some bet.
Kevin’s injuries included a torn lower abdomen and tears to his hip abductors, critical muscles for the pelvis, and hip joint support.
He humorously displayed his wheelchair to the camera, jokingly scolding himself as the “dumbest man alive” in the caption.
Ridley later responded on his Instagram Story. He apologized to Kevin and has drawn a parallel with NFL legend Tom Brady, who continues to excel at an older age. Ridley’s post received well wishes and jokes from all friends and fans.
Many comments hilariously asked him about his health and shared their advice with the 44-year-old.
