Running Back for the Colts, Jonathan Taylor is still desperate to be traded out, despite Tuesday’s non-binding deadline day.
The 2-time first team All-Pro has been reportedly getting interest from the Dolphins, who have had one offer turned down already.
There are some interested parties in the Bears and the Broncos, but these are just conjecture for now, as getting someone in so close to the start of the season will be difficult to justify.
Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald has stated that at least one other team has made an offer for Taylor, but for now all is quiet on the Philadelphia front.
Taylor was the NFL rushing yards leader as well as the rushing touchdowns leader in 2021, but he struggled with ankle injuries in the last campaign. In a week 4 loss to the Titans, he hobbled off, and missed the week 5 Broncos game.
In week 15 he suffered a high ankle sprain and was put on the injured list.
Taylor has been struggling with his ankle on the offseason, or as some pundits claim, struggling to get out of a Colts contract more than hopping along on crutches.
The RB from the Wisconsin Badgers finished as the sixth all-time rusher in NCAA history and the first to rush for 6,000 yards in a three-year period.
The Colts play the Jaguars in week 1 and Taylor could still line up for the Indianapolis team.
The Dolphins are away to the Chargers in week 1 and will be keen to add Taylor to the roster as soon as possible.
The Colts had a forgettable season of 4-12-1, while the Dolphins went 9-8.
