In an unfortunate turn of events, for the second time in seven days, an NFL preseason game was suspended due to a player injury.
During a match between the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars, a game that was suspended during the fourth quarter, rookie WR for the Dolphins, Daewood Davis, suffered an injury while attempting a catch with just 8:32 left in the final quarter, after Davis was carted off the field.
Well, in a recent development, the Miami Dolphins have provided a postitive update on Davis’ condition and have stated that Davis is conscious and displaying movement in all extremities.

During the fourth quarter of the game, Davis made contact with the Jaguars’ linebacker and fell to the ground but was immediately tended to by the medical professionals on the field.
According to the update from the Dolphins, the 24-year-old was taken to Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville for further evaluation.
After the game, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told the reporters that it was the right decision to end the game.
“Without a shadow of a doubt, I know that was the right call, so I’m proud of the collective group for doing the right thing. Our guys are hurting but relieved,”
Nonetheless, it was an emotional moment when head coach McDaniel talked about what kind of person and teammate Davis was.
“He’s a great spirit, first and foremost,” “He’s magnetic, he’s got a cool personality to him and guys saw that from then on.”
Davis’s journey started in Western Kentucky and played collegiately at Oregon before he got signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent.
