Shohei Ohtani, the exceptional pitcher and batter for the Angels is suffering from an ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) tear in his right elbow, as a result of which he would not be able to pitch for the remainder of this season.

In a recent press conference, Angels General Manager Perry Minasian expressed his sentiments regarding a challenging day for the team. He acknowledged the difficulty faced by him and the rest of the staff and stated,

"We did imaging between games and he does have a tear, and he won’t pitch the rest of the year," he continued. "We’re going to get a second opinion and go from there. It’s basically day-to-day. Obviously, he hit. But that’s where we’re at."

However, in an emotional moment, a fan of Ohtani was seen with a sign offering her ligament to the star.
