In a recent development, NFL insider Ian Rapoport has expressed his belief that the Indianapolis Colts may trade their star running back, Jonathan Taylor.
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rapoport stated, “There is real interest in Jonathan Taylor, and I would say it’s likely he gets traded. As long as the offer is good enough, I think a trade probably gets done.”
He further added, “I think it’s more likely he gets traded than he stays (in Indianapolis).”

This news suggests that the ongoing contract drama surrounding Taylor could soon come to an end, with Taylor potentially finding a new team.
While there is still a possibility that Taylor remains with the Colts even after the August 29 deadline, it appears increasingly likely that he will be donning a new uniform for the 2023 season.
If Taylor does depart, the Colts have a group of talented players in Evan Hull, Deon Jackson, and Zack Moss to fill the void in the backfield.
Indianapolis may also be considering free agent running back Kareem Hunt, with whom they had a meeting prior to this news.
Head coach Shane Steichen, who employed a committee approach with the Philadelphia Eagles last season, could implement a similar strategy with the Colts, potentially lessening the impact of Taylor’s departure.
Hull and Jackson have showcased impressive performances during training camp and preseason, while Moss is expected to reclaim a significant role once he recovers from his recent arm injury.
Colts fans are eagerly anticipating a fresh era of Indianapolis football, with a new coach, quarterback, and renewed energy at Lucas Oil Stadium.
However, they may have to envision this new era without one of the team’s most dynamic playmakers for the 2023 season and beyond.
