One of the most iconic Major League Baseball’s team mascots, the Phillies Phanatic was at it again, this time making a play for LA Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani.
The Japanese dual threat player is reaching free agent status soon and there is talk the Phillies may be making a dash for his signature.
The Phanatic clearly demonstrated histrionic animation when the team clashed, and with the Angels lying 4th in the AL West, a fiercely contested Conference, there could be a case of art imitating life.
The 3xtime All-Star smiled along with most of the crowd and the hundreds of thousands of baseball followers, with the clip going viral and reaching close to 900k views in a couple of hours.
