The Tennessee Titans are closing ranks while chipping away at the roster, to make the 53-man cut-off, and one player that is on the chopping block is RB Hassan Haskins.
Haskins has been on the front pages of news after his arrest on domestic abuse charges earlier this preseason and was placed on the injured/reserved list, effectively ending the running back’s season.
The former University of Michigan RB was picked up in 131st place in the 2022 draft.
His season is now over after he was arrested for Aggravated Assault by Strangulation, a serious charge and one that comes with jail time.
Haskins reportedly was upset when his girlfriend, Makiah Green liked another man’s Instagram post and the situation quickly escalated. Green was subsequently also jailed during a second argument between the pair.
The RB allegedly kicked through a door and cocked a handgun, after Green threatened to slash his vehicle’s tires, and ripping a $5,000 chain off his neck.
This is not ideal preparation for the Titans, who kick off their NFL season with a week 1 game with an away trip to the Saints.
The Tennessee side went 7-10 last season and finished in second place in the AFC South.
