The rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney suffered a minor ankle injury during training camp, and that sidelined him for a few weeks.
As the NFL season inches closer, despite the initial lapse, the Kansas City Chiefs have remained incredibly optimistic about Toney’s availability for Week 1.
According to James Palmer of NFL Network reports, despite Toney undergoing knee surgery in July, the Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid, and General Manager Brett Veach have expressed great optimism about Toney’s chances of being ready for the season opener.
meanwhile, Tony also missed all of his training camp due to his rehabilitation from arthroscopic surgery to repair the partially torn meniscus.

The New York Giants’ first-round draft pick in 2021 has made quite the impact in his growing career.
Despite playing only 19 out of 34 games after the trade from New York last season, Tony made impressive statistics of 19 touches for 230 yards and three touchdowns in seven regular-season games, along with an additional eight touches for 64 yards and a score in three postseason games.
Well, the upcoming practices will enable the team’s medical staff and coaches to evaluate Toney’s physical condition, including his strength, mobility, and overall fitness.
These factors will provide vital information on his ability to withstand the demands of high-intensity training and game plans.
