Recently, the wife of former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Isaac Rochell, Allison Kuch is facing a period of uncertainty as her husband navigates the unpredictable waters of joblessness.
As Allison Kuch is currently expecting a daughter, the convergence of career upheaval and impending parenthood has led Kuch to vent her grief on TikTok.
“My husband has just been released from the Las Vegas Raiders,” she revealed with a mix of emotions. “The only thing that makes this more difficult is that I am currently pregnant, and my daughter will be arriving in December.”
She continued explaining the new reality of other NFL players who were similarly released by teams:
“Over the next 72 hours, over 1,000 guys are going to lose their jobs. This is known as NFL cut day where every NFL team has to cut their rosters from 90 guys to 53.
Isaac and Allison crossed paths while they were attending University of Notre Dame. The pair went Instagram official in 2015.
As per the New York Post, Kuch and Rochell eloped and got hitched in a low-key ceremony in December 2020. However, they went on to reaffirm their commitment to an extravagant destination wedding in April 2021.
Fast forward to June 2023, Isaac and Allison announced that they are expecting their first child.
On August 29, 2023, the Las Vegas Raiders made the tough decision to release Rochell from their roster. Interestingly, in the next move, he took to X to announce the unfortunate news.
Isaac was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft (225th overall). His tenure in the league began with the Chargers and lasted till 2020. Next, he went to the Indianapolis Colts in 2021, followed by a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns in 2022.
December 28, 2022, marked a significant moment for Rochell, as he inked a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. This move came hot on the heels of his decision to terminate his practice squad contract with the Cleveland Browns earlier the same day.
