“The Packers were ready to see Aaron Rodgers go” Packers reporter Peter Bukowski on, if the Packers were ready to move on from Rodgers?

In the 2023 NFL season, Week 3, the Green Bay Packers will host the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field and it will be without Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers.

Although it"s possible to argue that it was their own fault, replacing Hall of Fame quarterbacks is never an easy feat.

Aaron Rodgers now is with the New York Jets and will start his NFL season with much aplomb.

Well, it seems like the talented player as he is, is good to go for a couple more years.

The host of the Locked On Packers, Peter Bukowski revealed on the latest episode of the "Short and To The Point" podcast about the Green Bay Packers decision to let go Aaron Rodgers.

Bukowski told Comeback Media’s Jessica Kleinschmidt and said "The reason I think it’s gotten so toxic is actually the reverse problem in New York,"

"They haven’t had a star quarterback since Joe Namath. We’re talking about 50-plus years. And so, they’re so starved for this moment that they don’t want to hear anything negative about Aaron Rodgers. They don’t want to hear about the reality of the situation from a Green Bay Packers standpoint that by the end, speaking of toxic, it had gotten a little toxic there."

According to Bukowski, Rodgers wanted big changes in the Packers. He wanted more input than what was coming at that point. However, the Packers were not in agreement with him and decided to let him go.

"The Packers were ready to see Aaron Rodgers go, just as Aaron Rodgers was ready to go this offseason. This was as amicable as a breakup can be between a superstar and a team that wasn’t injury-related. Like the [Indianapolis] Colts moved on from Peyton Manning, only because they were getting Andrew Luck, who was the most sure thing in the draft since Peyton Manning, at least, maybe since John Elway."

Aaron Rodgers has created his own incredible personality and has given tremendous games to the NFL. The future Hall of Fame quarterback is excited to be a part of the Jets and is determined to win the League Title.

Rodgers along with the Jets will debut on September 11th 2023.
