The 2023 Ryder Cup is less than a month away and Team Europe has yet to announce their final roster. The US Team, led by captain Zach Johnson, has their group of 12 ready to go as they eagerly await to hear who they will be facing off against.
European team captain Luke Donald has already seen four of his teammates automatically qualify (Rory Mcllroy, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and Tyrrell Hatton), with two more expected to accomplish the same feat (Robert Maclntyre and at least one of Tommy Fleetwood and/or Matt Fitzpatrick).
The Ryder Cup is set to take place just outside of Rome, Italy at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club. The tournament is set to take place from Friday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 1. Luke Donald will announce the European team in full on Monday, Sept. 4.
Team USA’s group consists of captain Zach Johnson, Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Colin Morikawa, Sam Burns, and LIV Golf member Brooks Koepka.
The US Team will look to end a gruesome Ryder Cup drought and win the tournament on foreign soil for the first time since they did so in 1993. It would be a massive achievement for this group of American players to propel the US Team to victory.
