Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, known for his basketball expertise, surprised sports fans when he displayed his baseball skills at a recent baseball game.

Specifically, on Wednesday, Nurse showcased his ability to imitate the iconic Craig Kimbrel setup on the pitcher’s mound.

This happened during the ceremonial first pitch before the series finale between the Los Angeles Angels and the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Nurse, showing them how to do the Kimbrel setup wasn’t enough, he went ahead and added to his win by nailing the pitch.

Despite that, the Philadelphia Phillies’ loss to the Angels 10-8.

As Nurse prepares for the 2023-24 NBA season, it is evident that he is fully committed to embracing Philadelphia’s sports culture and winning over the hearts of the city’s fans.

The Philadelphia 76ers have brought in a new head coach, Nurse, who previously coached the Toronto Raptors, one of the Atlantic Division rivals of the Sixers.

With his experience and success in coaching, Nurse is now tasked with righting Philly’s ship in the NBA. The potential for Nurse to have immediate success in Philadelphia will mostly depend on the players he has to work with.

Fortunately, he already has one of the league’s best players, Joel Embiid, who is the reigning Most Valuable Player of the NBA.
