New York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader found himself in a rather unusual situation before a game against the Detroit Tigers.
Well, moments before he stepped onto the field, Bader discovered through a TV tuned into ESPN that he had been placed on waivers.
According to Joyce, Harrison Bader’s teammate, Bader was taken aback when he first heard the term “waivers.”His initial reaction was, “What does waivers mean?”

Nevertheless, he played in the game and the Yankees emerged victorious with a final score of 4-2 against the Tigers.
However, The Yankees have made the move to remove their outfielder Harrison Bader from its 40-man roster by placing him in the 48-hour window for a team to claim him and add him to their roster with eligibility to play in the postseason.
If he is not claimed within a 48—hour window, he will remain on the Yankees roster.
However, Bader remained positive and focused on his next steps. In a recent interview, he expressed his thoughts. Bader said, via Joyce.
“I’ll just be by my phone,” “But listen, it is what it is. Regardless of the situation, if you get an opportunity to play baseball, especially in the big leagues, you never take that for granted.”
In recent weeks, the New York Yankees have been making significant changes to their lineup, bringing up talented young players.
Amidst these moves, there are reports that the team is contemplating the call-up of outfield prospect Jasson Dominguez, and the talks have even involved owner Hal Steinbrenner.
And Bader potentially being picked will increase the chances for Jasson Dominguez on the Yankees’ roster.
