Aaron Rodgers goes full “Inception” with this crazy “beautiful dream” quote on playing for NY Jets after leaving Green Bay Packers

New York Jets superstar Aaron Rodgers has been in the news for a variety of reasons, the latest telling reporters about a dream he had recently, invoking all sort of Inception-like moments.

The QB signed for the Jets on the off-season, and the 39-year-old will be looking to end his golden years with a swansong – or two.

The Jets open their campaign with a game at home against the Bills in week 1. They suffered a poor campaign last out going 7-10.

They were not the worst team in the league but will be looking for a run to the playoffs in the AFC East Conference.

The Jets defeated the Giants in a fiery preseason derby encounter, winning 32-24. They lost a preseason match to the Buccaneers 13-6, and Rodgers will be looking to add steel, consistency, and prescience.

“I told a friend this has felt like waking up inside a dream, this whole experience. A beautiful dream,” he said wistfully.

“So many times, you have a great dream, and you wake up and you think; I just want to get back into that, but I can’t quite get back into the dream,” he waxed on lyrically.

“I’ve woken up inside that dream and it’s been really, really special,” he added.

“There’s a lot of times — I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — where I just look around and say: This is my life now. How cool is this?”

Rodgers could be lining up a new career as motivational speaker, as he continues his dream NFL journey, one that has seen him win a Superbowl, a Superbowl MVP Award and 10 selections to the Pro-Bowl.

“It happens in the locker room, it happens walking out and it’s the fresh air and the sun setting. It’s just (thinking) what an awesome day it was because of whatever it was, a conversation I had with Mekhi, getting to see Billy Turner and catch up with him, a play that happened that really was fun that we talked about and wanted to happen … or we’re driving to the city and you hit that spot before you go in the tunnel and you’re looking across to the city going: How cool is my life now?

“I just try to keep that perspective every day here and it’s been easy because one thing has happened almost every single day that just reminds me I’m in the right place, I’m where I’m supposed to be and I’m really just loving what this opportunity has given me.

“Everyday I’m thinking — and I won’t say it out loud — but I’ll sit back with the guys in the room, take a second sometimes and it’s: How cool is this?”

He was the NFL passing touchdowns leader in 2016 and 2020 and the NFL’s leading completion percentage leader in 2020.
