In a new commercial for Lay’s potato chips, NFL legend Tom Brady and his former New England Patriots teammate, Julian Edelman, have grabbed attention by teasing a potential return to the NFL.
The commercial begins with the duo seemingly living a life of luxury in retirement, but it takes a thrilling turn with Brady dropping a bombshell.
“Unretirement? Who’d be dumb enough to do that?” Brady nonchalantly asks, causing viewers to lean in closer.
However, it’s Edelman’s response that truly sets the commercial. With a chip bite, he hints at something much bigger in the works.
The tension in the room escalates as Brady innocently shrugs his shoulders, leaving fans to wonder if this is a mere commercial gimmick or a real possibility.

Could the GOAT, Tom Brady, be considering a comeback to the gridiron?
Or is this just an ingenious marketing ploy by Lay’s to keep fans on the edge of their seats?
The seven-time Super Bowl winner had previously announced his retirement in February 2022, only to make a comeback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a mere 40 days later. However, this time, there will be no dramatic comebacks to the NFL as a player.
Brady’s retirement was confirmed on February 1, 2023, marking the end of an era in football history.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated in June 2023, Brady expressed his certainty about his retirement, stating:
“I’m certain I’m not playing again, so I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to continue to profess that, cause I’ve already told people that lots of times. I’m looking for my broadcasting job at Fox next year. I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders and we’re in the process of that along with the other different things that I’m a part of professionally.”
