Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, recently revealed a play he recently received from an official.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, revealed that he got a touchdown from a play that was given to him by a janitor.
Johnson"s response, it turns out, was given recently and came from an official, during a joint practice with the Jaguars recently.
As per Pride of Detroit, Johnson explaining the matter, said, "I think we were practicing against Jacksonville a couple weeks ago, and it’s a special teams period,"
"And one of the officials walked up to me, and I still have the diagram in my office. It’s a piece (of paper). He’s got 11 guys written up, and he literally took the entire special teams period — it was over five minutes — talking about how this play would work out."
However, Johnson did not describe the play completely as he plans to take that into consideration.
He further said, "It’s a good idea,"
"It’s a little bit out of the box. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it happen before. . . . I’ll let you guys [know if I use it]. I’ve got to give credit where it’s due."
The Detroit Lions will play against the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending champions.
