Harper Lee’s autographed copy of the book, “To Kill A Mockingbird” once owned by Michael Jordan to be auctioned

Michael Jordan, one of the most legendary figures in the NBA, had Harper Lee signed, 35th edition of “To Kill A Mockingbird”.

However, the book has now hit the sales platform. 

According to TMZ, Harper Lee sent many autographed copies of the book to famous people she was linked with, and Jordan was one of the recipients.

Jordan was still playing for the Chicago Bulls in 1995, and Lee sent him an autographed copy of the 35th-anniversary edition. 

The novel, which became her most well-known work, was inscribed with the words, “To Michael Jordan—best wishes, Harper Lee

When Michael Jordan was with his then-wife, Juanita Vanoy, he kept the copy in his library. When they got divorced in 2006, the book went with Vanoy as part of the divorce settlement. 

It was sold to a private collector by Vanoy in 2021. The book will be auctioned by Moments in Time, and is valued at $24k.
