Detroit Tigers’ First baseman, Miguel Cabrera, also known as ‘Miggy’, is undoubtedly one of the greatest baseball players of our time.

His skills on the field, dedication, and numerous records have earned him a special place in the hearts of baseball fans across the globe.

In a touching tribute to his notable career, the Chicago White Sox, one of the rival teams Cabrera faced throughout his career, honored him during their game this Sunday.

They presented him with a special gift – a bench made of personalized bats for his foundation.

Cabrera made history on Saturday night with an exceptional performance, contributing four impressive hits.

The Venezuelan powerhouse surpassed George Brett’s record by becoming the player with the most hits in MLB history, with a remarkable tally of 3,158.

Additionally, he closed in on the Dominican great, Adrián Beltré, who sits just ahead of him at 3,166 hits.

Throughout his retirement season, he has maintained an impressive offensive line with a batting average of .257 along with an on-base percentage of .322. Additionally, his slugging percentage stands at .349.

However, as Cabrera takes his final steps in professional baseball, he is also set to earn a significant sum, a $32 million compensation.

“I have analyzed a lot and although you never want retirement to come, we have to accept things.

I’m grateful for the career I’ve had,” Cabrera told Enrique Rojas of ESPN.

“I haven’t thought much about what I will do after retirement, but I would like to continue in the baseball environment.

Not as a coach, but as what Albert Pujols is doing at the Angels. I have to sit down with the organization and see what we can do,” he added.
