On Sunday, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Julio Urias was arrested for domestic violence charges.
Subsequently, he was released early this Monday morning on a $50,000 bond.
The news was initially reported by ESPN’s Jeff Passan, who broke the story, revealing the distressing incident involving the talented left-hander.

In August 2019, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias was handed a 20-game suspension by Major League Baseball (MLB) under the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy.
The suspension, announced by the league was a result of an altercation with a woman in a Los Angeles shopping mall parking lot back in May 2019.
Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer initially deferred prosecution, stipulating that Urias must participate in a hearing, refrain from committing acts of violence against anyone, and complete a rigorous 52-week domestic violence counseling program in person.
However, despite these conditions, MLB took a firm stance on the matter and handed down a significant suspension to Urias.
Urias, in response to the suspension, stated that he will not appeal the decision.
