The U.S. squad defeated Italy in a final score-line of 100-63, and have secured their spot in the semi-finals of the WC.
Well, with this win, team USA cut down all the possibilities of not making to their 2nd consecutive WC semi-finals, which would have been the first time in the team’s history.
By the end of the first quarter, team USA had a 10-point advantage against Italy, and ensured to keep maintain and improve their lead throughout the game.
Mikal Bridges emerged as the star with 24 points, 8-of-11 shooting.
Tyrese Haliburton contributed 18 points.
Team USA dominated the game by at least 30 points for the majority of the second half.
