“He is the first pick” Colorado Buffaloes coach about WR Travis Hunter being the No.1 NFL Draft pick on ‘both sides’

When Deion Sanders talks football, everyone listens, and the former NFL cornerback believes Colorado Buffalo’s star WD Travis Hunter can be the overall number one pick in the 2025 draft.

Sanders does have the added advantage of watching Hunter at close quarters, as the former five-star recruit stars for his University of Colorado Boulders team.

Sanders is only one game into his head coach stint at the Buffaloes, but already he is making a bold prediction. The CB and Sander’s son Shedeur both starred in the University’s surprise 45-42 win over the 17th ranked TCU team, last season’s national runner-up.

Sanders threw the game-winning touchdown, a 46-yard catch and run by freshman Dylan Edwards. The QB threw for 510 yards in the opening round surprise win.

Hunter moved from FCS School Jackson State and joined Sanders the coach and Sanders the son, had 11 catches in the game, for an impressive 119 yards.

The two-way starter and number one recruit also had one intercept in the wildly fluctuating match-up.

“Prime Time” has lived up to his preseason billing with an eye-catching win, and the former 5th round overall pick in 1989 has won two Superbowl titles and starred in many thrilling runs with the likes of the Falcons, 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins and Ravens.

The eight-time Pro-Bowler and NFL 1990’s All-Decade team and his highly rated prospects will next take on the Nebraska Huskies.

The Boulders last won the national championship in 1990.
