Draymond Green gives savage reply after being called out for supporting both Steph Curry and LeBron James

Draymond Green has played a vital role in the Golden State Warriors winning four NBA Championships in the past 11 seasons. Green, point guard Stephen Curry and the Warriors have had some heated battles with NBA superstar LeBron James amid their epic decade-plus long run.

Despite the intense on-court matchups, Green has developed a great bit of respect for James and they’ve also become good friends off the court. As a result, when there are basketball debates, Green also stands up for James.

Recently, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, who is a close friend of James, sat down on the Gil’s Arena podcast to settle a discussion about James and his 2020 NBA Championship run in the bubble at Walt Disney World during the COVID-19 pandemic.

James has often been criticized for that title and its validity compared to other NBA Championship runs due to the circumstances surrounding it. As a result, Paul asks Arenas on the podcast: "If Steph [Curry] wins in the bubble, do they discredit it? No, they don’t."

Green is being scolded for "playing both sides" and for not defending his teammate amid these ongoing debates and allowing Curry’s name to get dragged through the mud. Paul’s comments have sparked an uproar on social media to the point that Green had to take to X (formerly known as Twitter) to reply to a thread and clear the air:

Social media is trying to divide Green/Curry and James. Green alludes to the fact that people online are "using the word ‘enemy’ to describe two black heroes…." He later asked: "Both sides of what to be exact? A pointless debate?"

Known for being an outspoken player on the court, Green is not allowing social media to control his narrative and the way he feels about two of his closest friends off the court.
