The NFL season is just about underway as teams prepare for their Week 1 opponents. However, some teams may be without key players for various reasons. Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, San Francisco 49ers pass rusher Nick Bosa, and Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp are all in jeopardy of missing Week 1.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport provided the latest updates on each of the aforementioned players during a segment on NFL Total Access:

Chris Jones has been holding out from the Chiefs this offseason while the two sides try to resolve a contract dispute. Per Rapoport, the fact that Jones is willing to potentially miss Week 1 and forfeit a game check shows how serious he is about securing a long-term deal. Currently, there is no timetable for when/if a deal gets done.
Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa is in a similar position to Jones. According to Rapoport, the 49ers have made an offer that pays Bosa an “excess of $30 million per year,” but Bosa wants to become the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL. “Until we get some sort of breakthrough, his status is uncertain,” said Rapoport.
Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp spent several days in Minnesota recently, visiting a body specialist after he suffered a setback and yet another hamstring injury during training camp. Kupp visited the specialist to figure out what he could do “to prevent this mechanically,” said Rapoport. He is unlikely to play in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.
