Shannon Sharpe had an interesting first show on ESPN’s First Take, calling fellow host Stephen A. Smith “Skip” on multiple occasions, and the ramifications were dynamically fun.
Sharpe has just started on his new show, but made the same mistake seven years ago, and Smith was not about to be upstaged again, with a name tag, and a smile on the Tuesday episode.
Sharpe was a long-time co-host with Bayless.
Sharpe will not soon forget his gaffe and Stephen A. is keeping the gag running, at least until the NFL kicks off this weekend.
The former Denver Broncos 3-time Superbowl champion played 14 seasons in the NFL including one at the Ravens.
The tight end may not live this down for another seven years.
First Take is aired Monday through Friday, and the name tag may stick, or if Sharpe behaves, it may be “Skipped”.
The wit and banter between the duo look promising and the show is already proving a hit.
