The rumors about Nick Bosa’s contract extension are turning some heads.
Well, it has been reported that Bosa has not yet arrived at the 49ers, as his contract extension is on hold.
Meanwhile, Mike Tomlin, the coach of the Steelers has some predictions on his contract saga.
Tomlin forecasts that the reigning AP Defensive Player of the Year, Nick Bosa’s deal is expected to close before San Francisco arrives at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, that is way before the first game of the season on Sunday.
In the weekly news conference, Tomlin expressed the highest interest in Defensive lineman Bosa.
In his own words, “We are preparing for Bosa”, he affirms Bosa is arriving, and the preparations are underway.
Dan Moore Jr. the offensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers also commented on the ongoing report about Bosa.
He said the team is awaiting Bosa into the stadium, and we are leaning toward it. Bosa is a very promising defensive player, and we will receive him with deserving respect, we’re expecting him here and be full go.
Bosa is keen to secure a high contract and seems that he would hold out until he gets what he wants.
Well, with time running, the smoke is to be cleared soon to make sure Bosa doesn’t miss any games.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network Insider, it has been reported that the 49ers already offered Bosa roughly $30 million plus annually on a contract, which will make him the highest-paid edge rusher.
The negotiation on the contract extension is underway and this is happening in the prime years of his football career.
Time is ticking for the 49ers to reach to an agreement for a long term prospect as this will decide Bosa’s participation on Sunday, when the team opens the 2023 NFL season at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
