In what came as a good news for all Mike Williams’ fans, the former Bucs receiver is on life support in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) of St.Joseph’s hospital after he sustained injuries in an unfortunate construction accident.

Well, this comes as a good news given that Williams was reported to be dead by Jon Scott of Spectrum Sports in Buffalo on Tuesday night and the news was picked up by numerous media outlets.

Meanwhile, Tierney Lyle the mother of his eight-year old daughter stated that the 36-year old former receiver was mostly non-responsive when she and their daughter Maya had visited the hoispital on Wednesday afternoon.

However, when asked about William’s condition Lyle stated,

“They were waiting on me and Maya. We’re here and still trying to figure it out,” said Lyle.

“He was asleep when we went in there and he woke up when he heard our voices and his daughter’s voice,” Lyle said. “And he looked around, and he blinked and he was crying but he can’t move.”

Additionally, after the accident took place in Hillsborough County last week, Lyle believed that the plan was to get Williams off the life support, which has not yet happened, which is again a positive news for Williams’ family and fans alike.

Well, a fourth-round pick out of Syracuse in 2010, Williams came into the limelight when he amassed 964 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns, eventually making him an NFL Pepsi Offensive Rookie of the Year finalist.

However, Williams played only four seasons with Tampa Bay Buccaneers before he was traded to his hometown, the Buffalo Bills in 2014.

Meanwhile, Williams put a stop to his career spending part of 2016 with the Chiefs in the offseason.

We wish the former receiver a speedy recovery.
