Watch: Yankees infielder Anthony Rizzo, sitting out for the rest of the year, still finds a way to get ejected

Adding insult to injury, Yankees infielder Anthony Rizzo was ejected from the MLB game today, with the New York team going down 10-3 to the Tigers.

The ‘Pinstripes’ sit bottom of the AL East with a dead even 70-70 record.

Rizzo was kicked out of the dugout after arguing with the umpire after Jasson Dominguez was given a strike-three call in the fourth inning.

The Yankee player has been in the injured list since suffering a bad concussion sustained all the way back on May 28. After suffering the blow when Fernando Tatis Jr slammed into him, he was initially cleared for active duty. But on August 3, the Yanks decided to shut him down for the rest of the year.

With the Yankees all but out of the running for the playoffs Rizzo will get an extended break. He also got an extended shower last night, in what pundits are calling a regressive call by the umpire.

Commentators and fans alike were left in disbelief at the call, which held up play more than was necessary.
