In what comes as a bad news for the Rams fans, the Los Angeles Rams, star receiver Cooper Kupp has been placed on injured reserve, sidelining him for at least the first four games of the season.

Additionally, tight end Hunter Long has also been placed on injured reserve, further challenging the Rams’ offensive line-up.

Cooper Kupp suffered a hamstring injury during training camp on August 1st, and unfortunately, the injury worsened later in the preseason.

Despite seeking treatment and consulting a specialist in Minnesota, Kupp’s condition has not improved sufficiently for him to participate in the upcoming games.

It’s worth noting that Kupp missed the final eight games of the previous season due to an ankle injury but managed to make an impressive comeback and dominated the 2021 season.

Cooper Kupp’s absence is a significant blow to the Rams’ offense.

As the triple-crown receiver in 2021 and the AP’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Kupp played a vital role in the team’s success.

His exceptional performance led the Rams to victory in Super Bowl 56 against Cincinnati.

Cooper Kupp is slated to return to action in Week 5 when The Rams host the Philadelphia Eagles on October 8th.

However, As the Los Angeles Rams gear up for their highly anticipated clash with the Seattle Seahawks, they have made some strategic signings from their practice squad.

Kicker Brett Maher and quarterback Brett Rypien have been added to the roster, Rypien will assume the role of the backup quarterback to Matthew Stafford in the absence of Stetson Bennett, who wasn’t put on injured reserve despite a shoulder problem likely to prevent him from suiting up in Seattle.
