The incident occurred during the first half of the game against the Cincinnati Bengals when Conklin was pass-protecting.
Unfortunately, defensive end Trey Hendrickson rolled into Conklin’s knee while rushing from the other side of the Browns’ pocket.
Conklin, who was named an All-Pro in his first year with the Cleveland Browns in 2020, has had a tough time with injuries since then. He had previously suffered a torn patella in his right knee in 2021, and now he will have to overcome another setback.
The silver lining in this unfortunate situation is that the Browns have rookie Dawand Jones to step in as Conklin’s replacement.
Jones, a fourth-round pick out of Ohio State, will have big shoes to fill but has shown promise during his time with the team.
