Watch: NBC Sports California Typo Causes Stir, Calls Chicago White Sox ‘Shite Sox’

For the Chicago White Sox, the season’s trajectory is not going upward, and they remain in bulky water.

However, in a hilarious turn of events, the name of the Chicago White Sox was misspelt.

The error was shown when NBC Sports California ran a graphic about it during the Oakland Athletics defeat over the Texas Rangers.

The MLB schedule box was meant to show and highlight which teams had the worst bullpen ERA in the League since August 16th.

It showed that the Rangers had the worst, and the box was also shared by the Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox, and Detroit Tigers.

The Chicago White Sox were also in the box, albeit with a different name called “Shite Sox”.

The typo error took everyone by surprise and resulted in a comical comments from the fans.

Unfortunately, the White Sox have endured a miserable campaign, and no one thinks that the A’s graphics team meant to call them the ‘Shite Sox’, but the fans think otherwise.

Their players, management, and supporters are all acutely aware of the White Sox’s upturned season. Their former play-by-play and No. 1 White Sox supporter, Hawk Harrelson, didn’t have any encouraging words for the team.

So, this label was not condemned given the team’s performance.
