Damar Hamlin, the talented safety for the Buffalo Bills, will not be playing in tonight’s game against the New York Jets.
According to sources familiar with the situation, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported that Hamlin is expected to be inactive as a healthy scratch.

However, this decision is merely a result of the Bills’ deep defensive backfield and is not a reflection of Hamlin’s remarkable journey back to the field.
Despite being inactive, Hamlin has shown remarkable progress following his cardiac arrest scare in the previous game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Having met all the required milestones during the offseason and displaying incredible courage throughout preseason action, Hamlin’s return is eagerly anticipated, even if it doesn’t happen in Week 1.
