Watch: 49ers QB Brock Purdy sets unique NFL record with two TD’s during the season opener on sunday

Brock Purdy, the quarterback with the San Francisco 49ers, did great in his last rookie season.

In Week 1, the San Francisco 49ers did great and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, with a score-line of 30-7. 

The talented quarterback completed 19 of his 29 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns, both to Brandon Aiyuk.

Well, it seems like Purdy significantly contributed to the victory.

Brock Purdy had a passer rating of 111.3 and completed 65.5 % of his throws for 220 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Well, according to Adam Schefter, “Brock Purdy is the first quarterback in NFL history to win each of his first six career regular-season starts and throw at least two touchdown passes in each start.

Purdy also is the first quarterback in NFL history with a passer rating of 95-or-higher in each of his first six career regular-season starts”.

Purdy also mentioned, “The second touchdown on the right side, the deep ball – was that on Patrick Peterson? Yeah, that one. I was there. That felt good. But it was good, man. He’s a competitor. I have nothing but respect for Patrick Peterson and everything that he does”.
