Will Aaron Rodgers miss the rest of the season? QB leaves game in Jets debut with ruptured Achilles

Owing to an ankle injury, fans were left disheartened to witness the star Quarterback Aaron Rodgers exit the much-awaited debut match against the Buffalo Bills.

The injury took place on the night of the Jets’ Monday matchup.

Well, Rodgers’ injury has clouded the excitement that surrounded his arrival in New York.

Rodgers, on the very first drive of the game, was faced with a strong defence of the Buffalo Bills, including Leonard Floyd, their veteran pass pusher.

With only 11:40 remaining in the very first quarter of a first and 10-play, Floyd was seen to sack Rodgers. The injuries, at first, didn’t seem devastating or serious, however, soon after Rodgers took to the ground, signalling to the sidelines, that is when it became apparent that he couldn’t continue.

After a brief evaluation of his injuries, Rodgers was helped off the field leaving Zach Wilson, the former number 2 overall pick, to take his place.

Rodger was taken to the medical tent of the Jets’ for further evaluation.

Meanwhile, Zach Wilson took over his duties as the quarterback for the Jets in Rodger’s absence. Rodgers’ injury has undoubtedly cast a shadow over what was supposed to be an exciting night for the Jets and their fans.

The Jets’ high hopes were quelled after having made a significant trade to acquire their star quarterback of the season. Meanwhile, the fans are wishing for Rodgers’ speedy recovery, as Zach Wilson navigates the team through the remainder of their Monday night showdown against the Bills.
