Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson on Tuesday night smashed a home run in the fourth inning of Philadelphia. Following his 51st home run against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Matt Olson has now officially matched Andruw Jones for the Atlanta Braves franchise record for most home runs in a season. The game was won by the Atlanta Braves and the score was 7-6.

The 29-year-old slugger, Olson hit that home run for the 227th time in his career, but more significantly, it was his 51st of the season. Now the incredible player has a club record and leading in both RBI and home runs. 

Olson has equalled the mark for the most home runs ever hit by a Braves player in a season. He leads the league in slugging with .619, having an average of .281. His on-base percentage is .388.
