When the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, it became abundantly obvious how crucial Purdy was to the team’s success.
Purdy, the team’s backup quarterback, took over as quarterback and guided the team to an incredible win with 220 passing yards, a stellar pass rating of 111.3, and two touchdown passes.
If Brock Purdy throws 2 TDs on Sunday, he could become the 2nd QB in NFL history to do that in his first 7 starts (Billy Volek).
If Purdy has a Passer Rtg of 95+, he will join Patrick Mahomes and Dan Marino as the only quarterbacks under 24 to have 7 straight starts doing that.
