DeAndre Hopkins injury update: Titans’ Hopkins Out for Practice with Ankle Injury, Can Titans Win Without Hopkins Against Chargers?

DeAndre Hopkins, a key offensive weapon for the Tennessee Titans, was noticeably absent from Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle injury.

This unexpected setback raises concerns about his availability for the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

As the team’s leader in targets, receptions, and receiving yards in Week 1, Hopkins’ absence could have a significant impact on the Titans’ offensive performance.

Aside from DeAndre Hopkins, the Titans had a few other players who missed practice or had limited participation. Second-year receiver Treylon Burks was absent for a non-injury related reason, but Titans coach Mike Vrabel expects him to rejoin the team on Thursday. Safety Amani Hooker is in concussion protocol and is unable to practice until he clears the necessary protocols, following NFL policy.

On the other hand, running back Tyjae Spears, who was dealing with a non-disclosed groin injury, also participated in practice but in a limited capacity, adding uncertainty to his status for the game.

After being ruled out for the Titans’ game against the Saints, cornerback Tre Avery returned to practice as a full participant. Avery had been nursing a hamstring injury dating back to the final stages of training camp.

However, his return is a positive development for the Titans’ defensive unit, adding depth and versatility to their cornerback position.

Offensive tackle Dillon Radunz, who has been recovering from a torn ACL since December, participated fully in practice.

Dillon Radunz’s progress in full participation signifies a positive step towards his return.

The Titans will need to monitor these injuries closely as they prepare for their second game of the season.
