While reporters were waiting for players to address the media with postgame comments, Buffalo Bills official reporter Maddy Glab and her colleagues were discussing which player(s) would have a chance to speak after the Bills’ loss to the New York Jets, and wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ name came up interestingly.

“Hey, there’s no control of Stefon Diggs. Yes. He’s going to do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say FU. It’s how he treats everybody.”

The hot mic in the press room picked up the audio and it was very easy to hear what Glab was saying. Since then, the comments have gone viral on social media. Glad issued an apology shortly thereafter.

“I want to take ownership for what I said today,” she said. “I am very sorry for what I said and meant no ill will. I respect the hell out of Stefon Diggs, and he has been one of my favorite players to cover,” Glad added,

After addressing the matter and explaining the situation, it feels as though the air has been cleared. Being that she is a team reporter for the Bills, there will be plenty of interactions between her and Diggs this season.

While Glab seemed to be joking around with her colleagues, she may not be wrong. Diggs has become known for doing things his way with an intense and fiery personality on the field. After the Bills have come up short each of the last few seasons, Diggs has been vocal about his frustrations.
