“I don’t care. That’s what 466 is” – Tua Tagovailoa shrugs off criticism about his arm, points to historic passing perfomance in Week 1 as evidence

A testament to his stellar performance which led to Miami Dolphin’s big win against the Los Angeles Chargers in the season opener, Tua Tagovailoa had one message, short and curt for his critics: “I don’t care”

With 466 yards, 3 prominent touchdowns, and 1 powerful inception, Tagovailoa’s impeccable performance put to the grave any criticism or doubt surrounding his ability to throw deep. When questioned about it, he simply responded, “I mean, I don’t care. 466. That’s what 466 is if I can’t throw it deep. Thanks.”

Under the able hands of Coach Mike McDaniel, the young QB demonstrated how versatile he actually is in running the Miami offence. The real question to be posed is whether he remains in good health throughout the season, not whether he can throw deep.

The future MVP candidacy looks ever so bright for Tua, given he aims to rewrite his injury-ridden history. Undoubtedly, he is a ray of hope for the Dolphins to lead their Super Bowl ambitions in a competitive AFC.

One thing, however, is absolutely clear: Tua Tagovailoa is playing to prove his critics wrong, one game at a time.
