Exciting news for football fans is here. Peyton Manning, the brains behind the popular docuseries “Quarterback,” recently spilled the beans on The Pat McAfee Show. He said that Netflix is going ahead with a second season of the show about the NFL.

Even though Netflix hasn’t made an official announcement yet, Manning’s excitement about Season 2 has ignited a buzz among fans. Manning even hinted that this season might feature even more quarterbacks, adding to the excitement.

Peyton Manning wanted some quarterbacks to be on his show, but they said no. He really hoped one of them would change their mind and agree to come on. He even had three starting quarterbacks say no just yesterday. So, he’s feeling a bit disappointed and is willing to put aside his pride in hopes that someone will eventually say yes. However, it is being heard that Rams QB Matthew Stafford has agreed to star in the upcoming edition of the famous series.

“Quarterback” first hit our screens on July 12th and quickly won over viewers, consistently ranking among the top ten shows on Netflix. But there’s a twist for Season 2 – not all NFL quarterbacks are eager to jump on board.

Some quarterbacks have already said no to Season 2 of “Quarterback.” The list includes notable names like Justin Fields, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tagovailoa, Jimmy Garoppolo, Dak Prescott, Daniel Jones, and Sam Howell. Justin Herbert also said he might not take part.

But the show started really well. It became the sports documentary series on Netflix that got the most viewers in the shortest time. This news comes from the Sports Business Journal.

The show was made with the help of NFL Films. It focused on the lives of three NFL quarterbacks in the 2022 season: Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota. It became very popular, with many exciting moments and people talking about it on social media.

All these positive vibes from fans and the show’s impressive performance likely convinced Netflix to give “Quarterback” another shot.

One notable absence in Season 2 is expected to be Aaron Rodgers, given the New York Jets’ historical reluctance to participate in HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”

As the excitement builds for the second season, football enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting Netflix’s official announcement about the renewal and the quarterbacks who will take center stage in “Quarterback” once again.
