Recently, iconic rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram to mark the 16th anniversary of his third studio album, “Curtis,” which was released on September 11, 2007.
However, it wasn’t just the album anniversary that caught the attention of fans. It was the two slides featuring racy suggestive images of his former girlfriend, Ciara.
NFL fans wasted no time in responding to 50 Cent’s post, and many criticized him for sharing explicit images of Ciara’s lookalike.

It’s worth noting that Ciara and 50 Cent dated for three years but called it quits in 2010.
The controversy has its roots in a misconception that has persisted for years.
When 50 Cent, renowned for his hit track “In Da Club,” dropped his “Curtis” album in 2007, he was romantically involved with Ciara. Thus, fans assumed that Ciara was one of the models seen on the album cover.
Amid the social media frenzy, 50 Cent’s long-time representative, Amanda Ruisi, exclusively shared with Page Six that the two models featured on the “Curtis” album cover are not Ciara.
“Two different models are featured on the ‘Curtis’ album cover. Neither of whom is Ciara,” Ruisi stated, putting an end to the persistent misunderstanding surrounding the album artwork.
Singer and songwriter, Ciara is now married to Denver Broncos quarterback, Russell Wilson.
The couple tied the knot in July 2016 and has expanded their family with two children. Currently, they are expecting their third child.
Ciara, 37, shares her son with rapper and ex-fiancé, Nayvadius Wilburn aka Future. Their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, was born on May 19, 2014.
