Watch: Former NFL Tight End Rob Gronkowski Against Men Competing in Women’s Sports

Future NFL Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski looked in shock when asked if he thinks men should be allowed to play in women’s sports. You can see his reaction and once he had a moment to process the question, he adamantly nodded his head.

Gronkowski didn’t say much in response to the question, but his facial expression said it all. He feels pretty strongly on the matter.

The question stems from Lia Thomas, a biological man who is competing as a member of the University of Penn women’s swim team and dominating the competition. Thomas became the first transgender athlete to win an NCAA Division I national championship when she won the 500-yard freestyle event in 2022.

Thomas’ swimming career has been one of the most controversial topics in sports as the subject of transgender athletes has become a growing subject in American sports. That didn’t stop Gronkowski from reacting very candidly to the question when it was posed to him.

Gronkowski is a four-time Super Bowl Champion most notably known for being former NFL quarterback Tom Brady’s go-to target for a decade dating back to their days playing for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It is interesting to see how Gronkowski feels about transgender athletes in sports and makes you wonder how many other athletes share this same sentiment.
