The Sony Diego Studio collaborating with PlayStation revealed the MVP Edition of MLB The Show 22 and have rolled some eccentric anime-themed artwork.
The cover of this season features the MLB athlete Shohei Ohtani, who is a rising star at the moment and is also a big fan of anime and manga.
A video clip shows Ohtani was surprised by seeing himself as an anime character on the collector’s edition of MLB The Show 22 for the first time.
Created by Takashi Okazaki, Ohtani is seen in the cover with fire artwork as he holds a bat over his shoulder and tosses the ball. The cover art resonated his eminence as a hitter and a pitcher,

which is something uniquely known to Ohtani in MLB at the moment.
As the MLB The Show 22 celebrates Shohei Ohtani with a Manga-Themed cover, the athlete will feature as a superhero version on the edition.
Sony San Diego’s Ramone Russell wrote,
“Ohtani possesses unique abilities with superhero-like abilities on the field.”
He continued,
“What better way there can be to bring that to life as a reference to his abilities than to have worlds collide on a truly unique cover?”
Firstly revealed on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has also paired the cover along with an animated trailer that displays Ohtani’s hitting and pitching skills.
