When prominent Twitter accounts misidentify players or coaches, it’s bound to catch people’s attention.
A recent example of this was seen on the Fox College Football account, where they attempted to tweet a video of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders’ post-game conversation with Colorado State Rams head coach Jay Norvell after the Buffaloes’ 43-35 double overtime win on Saturday.
However, instead of sharing the correct video, they initially tweeted a clip of Sanders hugging one of his own staffers.
Although the tweet was quickly deleted, the Sickos Committee was able to capture a screenshot of it.
Eventually, Fox did manage to share the correct video of Sanders and Norvell’s conversation.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t ideal for the Fox College Football account to make such a mistake in front of their 483,000 followers. This is not the first instance of a prominent media outlet misidentifying individuals, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Nonetheless, this misidentification was particularly notable, given the hype surrounding both Sanders and Norvell this week, as well as Norvell’s frequent appearances on the ESPN game broadcast.
