The season 2 of the Winning Time is coming to an end on September 17 this year, and critical acclaim has many viewers demanding for season 3.
The finale of season 2 will feature the rise of the Lakers Dynasty and the showdown between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird in the 1984 NBA Finals.
As the second season airing on HBO and MAX is ending, the Winning Time Season 3 release date is highly anticipated and demanded by many viewers.
All throughout the series, it has shown some of the best behind the scenes of one of the most dominant teams ever, the LA Lakers. From the rise of the Lakers and escalating to a force to reckon with in the 1980s, the return of another season is still awaited.
The author of Winning Time Jeff Pearlman recently revealed that he is anxious about the show’s future as Season 3 hangs in the balance.
As per his statement, he said the viewership numbers haven’t been as high as it was in the first season. On a positive note, he said it can still happen as HBO was thrilled to bring Season 2 despite the viewership, season 3 could get another shot.
And, to be blunt, I'm worried there won't be a season three. And it's not about me. I'm fine. It's about a cast of amazing young actors who live this. So, seriously, tell your friends to support "Winning Time" and show @hbo you want it to continue. Peace. #winningtime https://t.co/1KD2uKOY16

In the case of renewal, season 3 is expected to take a longer time; it is to be expected in late 2024 or even early 2025. The Winning Time Season 3 is expected to be released on MAX if renewed.
However, according to the executive producer Kevin Messick, the network had given the crew a heads-up about the possibility of the show ending this year.
Though the final conclusion cannot be drawn so soon, the show’s Season 2 finale will also be the series finale.
